California light is unlike anywhere else on earth. The way it falls on water in the early morning — golden and low, casting long shadows across wave faces — is something that has to be witnessed to be understood. This gallery is our attempt to capture it.
All photographs were shot at California breaks between Santa Cruz and San Diego over the past five years. Our photographers are surfers themselves, which means they know how to be in the right place at the right moment — in the channel, on the cliffs, or in the water with a housing.
Prints are available for purchase in our shop. Each image is available as a limited edition fine art print, signed and numbered by the photographer. We also accept commissions for custom photography sessions at select breaks.
